MOIR CAMP (13,650 ft/4,160 m)

After breakfast we continue our hike east across the Shira Plateau past the Shira Cathedral on a a slow uphill climb towards Moir camp.  We pass some of the most beautiful Giant Senecios, which occupy a distinct altitude zone on this mountain. The views of the plateau behind us are breathtaking. It is a full day hike for the climbers.  But the payoff is we'll spend 2 nights here acclimatizing.
